ALL THE FUN OF THE FAIR Reputedly the largest outdoor show in the world, the Great Dorset Steam Fair is an extraordinary annual event attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors. From the might of the heavy haulage to the serenity and majesty of the heavy horses, the fair has something for everyone. In this programme we focus on the smaller exhibits that give the fair it's unique and eclectic feel. There is a myriad of craft skills and traditional techniques on display and we journey around the site sampling many of these delights including threshing, road mending, the always popular heavy horses, stationery engines, horticultural displays and so much more to enjoy!!
